1st time here was for my lunch break. Ordered some Guilin mifen and ate alone because I'm cool like that.

2nd time for dinner with friends and BYOB (red wine). Dressed to impressed, but I'm always fly. Food was delicious.

3rd time for dinner with friends and BYOB (soju). Heard they were closing, so we had to come here one more time. Their phone line was busy, but we took the chance. They were open. Their last day is on 9/8/2019. They're closing down because their chef (they only have one) has an arm injury and the pain is getting worse, so it's about time he retires. I can't handle spicy food, but I can somehow enjoy their food. The food isn't spicy spicy, but it does make your mouth go numb. If I can enjoy the food, so can you.

Was so sad to hear that Spicy Pavilion is closing Sept 8. With the main chef retiring not sure who or if someone will take over this delicious business.

Tonight I went in for my last spicy fix with friends and it was tasty as always but SUPER packed since a lot of regulars had the same idea apparently. We got there right at 5 and we're lucky to get a table.

Ordered the infamous jianjian men, the spicy hot chili oil beef and some cucumber pork belly dish with hot oil on it. Yum yum yum! But our meal didn't end so well...

About an hour and 15 minutes into our meal we were still nibbling and the waitress (not the owner or the daughter) came over and put our bill on our table and said "there are many people waiting, so here, sorry." Ummmm myself and my friends looked at each other and we're like seriously? Really ruined the dinner and ruined the mood. Very unprofessional and unkind, especially to long time regulars. I know people were waiting but we came at 4:45 and waited our turn to enjoy our meal. I didn't see her putting the bill on other larger group's tables who came in at the same time we did. I'm big on service and I'm sad this was my last impression of Spicy Pavilion.

BYOB and no corking fee ... like yeah!

I favorited this place a long time ago and kept missing opportunities to go because of their opening and closing times. Finally, I made it and I was thoroughly impressed with their menu and service.

The lamb cumin was delicious and I highly recommend getting it. It's a perfect sharing dish and with the right amount of spice it won't burn your face off. At a medium spice I had a slight perspiration, but was able to fully enjoy the taste.

The spicy wontons were soft and had a slight hint of spice as well. Another great dish to share.

Their beef pancake roll with lettuce and egg was something unique and probably my wife's favorite of the three. The peanut butter dipping sauce really made it a solid dish.

It's BYOB and the customer service was great!
